The 14th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development Forum is held this year in light of the robust steps taken by the Egyptian government – under directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi – to realize sustainable development in all sectors.
This falls within the framework of the Egypt Strategy 2030 which aims at rallying up efforts to all levels and merging all parties concerned from the private sector and international institutions in order to magnify opportunities of sustainable growth, while taking into consideration the social and environmental dimensions. This is meant to achieve sustainability, ensure fair distribution of development fruits and secure decent life for future generations.
Moreover, the private sector and the business community are keen on adopting strategies aiming at boosting institutional potentials and building capabilities for effective action vis-à-vis sustainability issues, thus making the Egyptian economy more resilient and attractive to responsible investments. This will help promote growth opportunities and establish new projects abiding by environmental and social standards.

The 13th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development Forum was held in 2-5 March 2023 in light of the serious steps taken by the Egyptian government – under directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi – to realize sustainable and balanced development at all dimensions; economic, social and environmental. Egypt’s efforts for sustainable development were crowned by launching Egypt’s National Climate Change Strategy 2050 and an investment roadmap of green projects as well as hosting the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in November 2022 – under the rubric of “From Pledges To Implementation”.

The 12th Egypt CSR and Sustainable Development Forum was held in 10-13 March 2022 in the Upper Egypt governorate of Luxor within the framework of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the serious steps taken by the Egyptian government to achieve balanced development in all parts of Egypt at economic, social and environment levels. This is meant to realize sustainability and ensure fair distribution of the fruits of development in addition to securing decent life for the current and coming generations. The Egyptian state is keen on cooperating with all the parties concerned and international partners to accelerate the achievement of a clear development impact that contributes to Egypt Vision 2030.

In the essence of the directions of His Excellency, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to accelerate the process of achieving a balanced sustainable development in all of Egypt’s governorates as well as to drive all parties to implement Egypt’s Vision 2030, CSR Egypt is proudly held the 11th version of Egypt CSR and Sustainable Development Forum in 8 November 2021, entitled “Sustainability from Adoption to Localization… the path to recovery’:
It aimed to promoting the government’s efforts and providing all stakeholders with the opportunity to build effective partnerships that drive development forward to ensure a decent life for the Egyptian citizen.
This Forum answered a number of important questions concerning the tools of localizing Sustainable Development Goals and the most efficient mechanisms to make impact on countries, individuals and companies.

Under the guidance of His Excellency, President Abdelfattah Al Sisi, to achieve sustainable development in order to enhance the life standards of the Egyptian citizen on multiple levels, CSR EGYPT has proudly held the 10th Edition of the Egypt CSR forum on 16th of November 2020 at Intercontinental City stars Cairo Hotel, with the participation of key businessmen, government representatives, in addition to CSR and sustainable development experts
with the objective of sharing experiences and formulating effective partnerships that achieve sustainable development according to Egypt vision of 2030.

The first Arab Corporate Citizenship Forum was held under the title “Effective partnerships towards sustainable growth” in the United Arab Emirates, in coordination with the Islamic Chamber Of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Emirates Businesswomen Council and the Economic Businesswomen Council/ Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, UNIDO Network of Investment and Technology Promotion Offices (ITPO), Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship and Investment and with the participation of a number of businessmen, NGOs and government representatives.
The forum is a dynamic interactive platform, which will be held to strengthen ties and expand cooperation areas between the business community in the UAE and its counterpart in Egypt, to serve the vision of the UAE 2021-2030 and Egypt Vision 2030.

In the light of the instructions of His Excellency President Abdelfattah Al Sisi to raise awareness of the importance of bringing about development among the different stakeholders, to achieve sustainable development and
effective partnerships, thus achieving sustainable growth, CSR Egypt has launched the 8th Egypt CSR Forum entitled, “How to integrate sustainability into core business strategies” on 21-22 April 2019, with the
participation of a number of businessmen, government representatives, experts and sustainability stakeholders.
The forum discussed the importance of integrating sustainable development strategies into the planning and measurement processes of commercial companies. It also highlights the mechanisms of integrating sustainable development strategies into the companies’ business plans, as well as integrating portability objectives with corporate social responsibility. That will be achieved by creating local standards for the SDGs, to make them more feasible and useful; thus, ensuring sustainable development Impact.

Alexandria hosted the seventh CSR Forum and the third round in Egyptian Governorates, under distinguished government patronage on 11 November 2018 at the Royal Tolip Hotel.
The forum aimed to creating an integration between the efforts exercised by the government, business community and civil society organizations to achieve actual development in the Egyptian governorates.
CSR Egypt organized this event to ensure the continuity of the participation and cooperation between the development stakeholders, in addition to developing integrated development plans with a priority to
improve the quality of Egyptian citizens’ life and revive the economic situation.
And for the First time, the forum hosted a roundtable that gathers all stakeholders to discuss the methods of integration, as well as shedding light on the needs of each party.
The forum also discussed how to maximize the potential and competitive advantages of each governorate, and the future of local and foreign investment in the region, in addition to highlighting the mechanisms of attracting investments to participate in local development programs in the region, as well as improving the conditions of the community through studying a number of proposals for the development of infrastructure and service sectors.

Portsaid hosts the second CSR Forum in governorates, which will take place under a distinguished government patronage, to create a state of integration between the government, business sector and civil society efforts to achieve a real development in the Egyptian governorates.
CSR Egypt is organizing this event out of its belief in the efforts exercised by all stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive development plan, which in turn allows the country to achieve a qualitative leap in the life of each Egyptian citizen.
The forum highlights the actual needs of the governorates of the Suez Canal Region, including: Portsaid, Ismailia and Suez, as well as discussing the government’s plans to achieve a sustainable and balanced development. This is in addition to shedding light on the sustainable investment opportunities and discussing.
the methods of merging the business sector in Egypt Vision 2030.
Furthermore, it will address the mechanisms of creating comprehensive economic and social development in the Suez Canal Region and determining the competitive advantages of each of the three governorates. In addition, the forum will discuss the necessary factors for achieving industrial development, and the required plans to provide a professional training to enhance employment effciency in the region and how to transform Egypt into a global logistics hub.
CSR Forum in Governorates – Suez Canal Region will host more than 500 CSR and sustainability experts and stakeholders, in addition to businessmen, investors, and government and NGOs representatives.

The fourth annual CSR forum was held to create a state of integration among all the parties concerned with community work in Egypt. The forum aimed at providing the opportunity for the private sector and civil society to present their development plans and discuss the most important and crucial issues that can drive our economy forward and guarantee a decent life for every Egyptian citizen.
This forum is held under the title “Development drivers in various sectors” to highlight the actual needs of the sectors that significantly influence every citizen’s life and, as well as discussing Egypt Vision 2030 and how the private sector supports it and its requirements to unite all efforts.
The forum has also shed light on the different means of encouraging private sector to participate in the development and how it can achieve integration between the business and development goals. Also, the forum will launch an
initiative to support and develop the ailing industrial zones.
Moreover, the forum will discuss how to elaborate community work concept in Egypt through spreading awareness among youth about the importance of volunteering in development projects, in addition to building trust between
the civil society and private sector and highlighting the NGOs law and its role in setting a legislative frame.

CSR Egypt organized its first forum on corporate social responsibility in Alexandria Governorate under a distinguished government patronage; the forum aims at creating a state of integration between the efforts of the government, private sector and civil society, in order to bring about real development in Egyptian governorates.
CSR Egypt organized this forum out of its belief in the efforts exercised by all stakeholders to meet the country’s comprehensive development plan that aims at changing citizens’ lives to the better.
In its rst round, the forum shed light on the actual needs of the governorates of Alexandria, Beheira and Matrouh, the initiatives that have been implemented in these governorates, as well as the means of unifying stakeholders’ efforts.
Furthermore, the forum will highlight the role of private sector in supporting the unnished projects, as well as discussed the balanced development between the dierent governorates and sustainable development strategies.
It also discussed mechanisms of bridging development gaps, making best use of the governorates’ competitive advantages and encouraging the private sector to develop more investment plans in various governorates.
The forum will also shed light on many other issues such as improving infrastructure and providing job opportunities in all Egyptian governorates and supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs owners.
The forum gathers more than 500 experts, businessmen, investors, heads of civil society organizations, and members of parliament and local administrations who are all interested in community and development work.

The third Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forum was held in May 2017, in light of the government’s commitment to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development in Egypt. This is in addition to the private sector’s eagerness to support the community.
The aim of the forum is to unite the public and private sectors’ eorts with civil society organizations and work side by side on achieving the desired objectives of this program to ensure sustainability.
During the forum, the government will present its plans and discuss means of cooperation with the private sector and civil society institutions to nd mutually agreed solutions and a clear vision, around which all eorts will be united.
Through its sessions, the forum will put forth ideas to create a clear vision of the state’s economic program to achieve
sustainable development and the state’s vision of 2030.
This is in addition to putting forth solutions on how to utilize the available resources to achieve an impact that can be felt by
both the citizen and the community.

The Second Annual CSR Forum was held with the purpose of unifying the efforts of the private sector and civil society organizations who have a goal to achieve in a specific time, through creating a state of integration between corporate objectives, the government’s plans and the actual needs of the community development.
The Forum is committed to do a clear development in reality. It was agreed to unite all efforts in this year around the vision of developing the Egyptian human element to reach a “ Good Competitive Global Productive Citizen” in the near future.
We have a strategic plan to work on which aims to promote education and health to provide an appropriate environment for the human element, so he could carry out his tasks and increase his productivity. In Addition to working on creating the values and principles that would guarantee his inner satisfaction, which will be reflected on his level of performance and efficiency.
We realize the importance of the participation of companies and the relevant authorities in achieving their strategy to have an impact development in the Egyptian society to reach sustainability.
The Forum includes the ideas and programs adopted by companies to achieve social responsibility and the development of the society as well as presenting government’s point of view regarding the social responsibility map to achieve the same goal.
The Forum targets more than 750 companies representatives and experts in the field of social responsibility in order to exchange ideas and submit innovative solutions to develop the society and fulfill their needs.

The first Annual CSR Forum in Egypt was held with the purpose of creating a state of integration between the goals of companies operating in the Egyptian market and the government’s plans to bring about development in society and achieve sustainability. This comes through submitting ideas, evaluating the programs adopted by the companies in the field of community service as well as presenting the government’s point of view regarding the social responsibility map, which the country is shaping in order to accomplish development and sustainability. This provides an abundant amount of information that helped the companies in developing their programs in order to reach their goals.
The Forum was targeted more than 500 companies’ representatives and experts in the field of social responsibility in order to exchange ideas and visions as well as to submit innovative solutions to develop the society and fulfill its needs. This provides a competitive advantage for the companies’ employees to be acquainted with other point of views, exchange experience and learn about new strategies and different pioneering implementation mechanisms to achieve a handling strategy between the company and society and carry out development in its true form and meaning.
The CSR Forum was the first of its kind in Egypt to become the regular annual gathering between the government and the companies concerned with developing the society in order to achieve sustainable development.
