Jon Yates-Reynolds, Sustainability Expert, stressed the importance of drawing up a comprehensive and effective strategy to implement sustainability concepts on the ground.
He said achieving alignment between institutions and sustainability represents a significant opportunity that must be seized.
He made the remarks during the 7th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy – dubbed the 7th Green Economy Forum – which was held under the theme of “The Transition C-Panel”.
Yates-Reynolds expounded that the surrounding environment plays a pivotal role in achieving positive results while applying sustainability concepts; therefore providing a supportive and positive work environment contributes to reaching the aspired future goals.
The sustainability expert explained that considering the operational perspective of all elements of the business environment is vital, especially regarding the qualification and training of human resources and ensuring a balance between the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainability.
He emphasized the necessity of working out a sustainable action plan with clear implementation mechanisms in order to guarantee achieving stable and long-term profits in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He highlighted the importance of addressing current challenges by reducing waste and carbon emissions and capitalizing on available opportunities to preserve the environment, thus ensuring comprehensive and balanced sustainability.
