Mohamed Amer, CEO of El Gouna and Executive Board Member and Managing Director for Commercial Activities of Orascom Development Egypt, said the company has been consistently applying sustainability principles for over 35 years.
He said the company gives a top priority to supporting education and human development, noting that the company managed to build a number of specialized schools in various domains.
In 2005, the company began establishing recycling facilities in the Red Sea city of El Gouna which is qualified to become a comprehensive model for sustainable environmental development.
Managing Director for Commercial Activities of Orascom Development Egypt Amer made the remarks during the 7th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy – dubbed the 7th Green Economy Forum – which kicked off on Tuesday under the theme of “The Transition C-Panel”.
